First day back at the office and I tripped over this guy in the parking lot on my way in. My feet still hurt from four days of wearing heels and walking for miles around the conference. NAR’s event is so big it expands to multiple official hotel sites for meetings and events, and back and forth to the convention center.
Yes I am aware that I posted on NAR Conference Live‘s blog that attendees need to wear comfortable shoes – oh the irony. Do as I say, not as I do. My favorite Aerosole heels look great, but they are no match to being on your feet for 12+ hours a day.
Today’s Election Day – and I guess tripping over this toad was an appropriate way to start the day. This is the first time I’ve voted that I ever remember having to stand in a line at the polls. I’m not going to get into my political views here – but I will say that I stayed up till 1:30 am watching the election results. That’s the first time in ages I’ve gone to bed that late, but I just couldn’t quit watching as the states flipped back and forth as the night wore on. CNN’s magical state scorecard that zoomed in and out from country to state to county level was mesmerizing. And in the end, the orange faced toad won. I am tired.
