In real estate, one of the benefits of being a seasoned agent is being able to head off problems. Once you have a few years under your belt, you understand not only how to put a deal together but also how to predict what may be a problem and how to stop it before it happens.
There are two paths an agent can take – be reactive (react to everything that happens along the way) or be proactive. Anticipate the problems, predict what can or may happen along the way, and plan how you will deal with each hurdle. The reactive agent just bops from problem to problem, putting out fires and trying to figure out how to handle it. The proactive agent predicts the problems, plans solutions and is ready for whatever happens.
What type of agent do you want to be? And if you are a consumer, which type of agent do you want working for you?
